BML-111 is an analog of the naturally occurring eicosanoid Lipoxin A4. It is an agonist of lipoxin A receptor, also known as formyl peptide receptor 2 (ALX or FPR2). BML-111 potently inhibits cytokine  and inflammatory cell infiltration in rodent arthritis models, and blocks angiogenesis and tumor growth in hepatic tumor models.
